Top 5 Managers of Premier League 2017-18

Top 5 Managers of Premier League 2017-18

Pep Guardiola

Having mastered La Liga and the Bundesliga, Pep Guardiola is just one victory away from mastering the Premier League. When he first arrived at the Etihad Stadium, a few people started questioning him about whether he could adapt to the Premier League or whether Manchester City could adapt to his style of play, which gave him success in Barcelona and Bayern Munich.  Guadiola has definitely prove the critics wrong by winning the Carabao Cup in February and is on the verge of claiming his first Premier League in just two seasons.

What has impressed me is how quickly City have adapted to his style of football which is to play out from the back. This is generally a a difficult system for Premier League players to get used to given the fast pace, aggressive nature of the League,  but Guardiola and City have proved us wrong by securing their fifth Premier League title following United's surprising defeat to bottom of the table West Bromwich Albion.

Jurgen Klopp

One of the Premier Leagues most fiercest managers is Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp. Anfield has always had a great atmosphere but since the feisty German arrived two seasons ago, it has turned into a bullring due to his touchline antiques which always lifts the crowd.  The Reds are having a pretty good third season under Klopp and are currently in third place on the Premier League table.

They also have a 3-0 away goal lead in the first leg of their Champions League quarter final tie against city. Can Klopp and the Reds seal a place in the semi-finals of Europe's most elite football tournament?

Mauricio Pochetino

Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the Premier League's most consistent teams. Mauricio
Pochetino's side have finished inside the top four in the previous two seasons. Last year, they finished as runners up and gained 86 points from all 38 games. I admire the way in which he has made Spurs a tough team to beat. so far Tottenham have only lost five of their 31 games in the Premier League.

I like the way he uses the trio of Kane up front with Christian Erikson  and Alli moving in and behind him, that is where Spurs are at best and most dangerous form. Given the players in which Spurs have at their disposal, it's a bit surprising to see that Pochetino and his men haven't won at leat one trophy in his tree seasons in charge of the club, however, it is good to see that Spurs have continued to show faith in him. So if he can continue to rebuild this Spurs team, who knows what's in store?

Sean Dysche

Sean Dysche and Burnley are having the season of their life in the Premier League. The Clarets are currently in seventh place on the Premier League table with 49 points.  Dysche's side have won 13 out of their 32 games including 10 draws and 9 defeats. Dysche joined Burnley during the 2012-13 season of the Championship where he guided them to the Premier League finishing in second place behind 2015-16 Premier League winners Leicester City.

Should Burnley remain in the top seven, it would be fascinating to see how they perform in next season's Europa League, especially the knockout stages, should they qualify and make it through the groups. Is this just a once in a lifetime season for The Clarets or will they continue to grow into a more substantial outfit?

Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has been one of the world's most successful club managers of all time and is up their with the likes of Sir
